Our experience in underground excavation engineering  allows us to  offer a broad range of geotechnical engineering services at each stage in the investigation, design, construction, and post construction phases of a project.

Specific services include;

Preliminary geotechnical investigations
Identification of critical engineering and geotechnical issues associated with overall project feasibility and potential application of trenchless technology methods, defining design information needs, and providing preliminary cost estimates.

Site Investigation
Design and implementation of site investigation programmesfocussed on project specific geotechnical issues, design information needs and machine suitability, including:

Site reconnaissance and mapping, layout and supervision of exploration plans, identification of laboratory and in-situ testing needs for effective matching of excavation methods and equipment to ground conditions and geotechnical instrumentation setup and monitoring.

Interpretation of site investigation data
Provide geological characterisation and a geotechnical framework for excavation design, machine specifications, risk assessment, and preparation of factual and interpretative reports.

Design and engineering services

Excavation method selection, including risk based modelling of excavation system performance, review of contractor proposals, excavation monitoring and optimisation.

Verification, subsidence evaluation and monitoring, geotechnical design reports for microtunnelling issues and project planning,cost and schedule estimates, and specification/bid document preparation.

Geotechnical field services during construction
Monitoring of geotechnical instrumentation, monitoring of excavation progress with respect to geotechnical conditions and assessment of contractural claims related to ground conditions.
