Dublin Gas Pipeline, Dublin, Republic of Ireland
Site inspection and review of SI data and encountered ground conditions for seven 1.0m to 1.5m diameter tunnelled road/rail/river and canal crossings for a 900mm
diameter, 18.6Km gas transmission pipeline. Tunnelling methods comprised; anger boring, manual pipejacking, (drill & blast, and hand excavation) and three microtunnels. Produced report for claim relating to unforeseen
ground conditions.Effluent Pipeline Installation, Avonmouth Site Investigation, design, contract preparation
and site supervision for the Installation of a new 500m long effluent pipeline for a chemical plant. The scheme was designed for directional drilling
to minimise disruption to the plant and to prevent excavation on the adjacent roads.Barbados South Coast Sewerage Scheme Tender geotechnical interpretation of site investigation data for proposed sewer
scheme involving 10Km of 250 to 700mm diameter microtunnelled excavation. Advised on geotechnical risks and excavation rates for microtunnelling, and alternative proposal to use directional drilling for some of the
alignment. Utility Installation, Chemical Plant
Site Investigation, design,
CDM submissions, contract preparation and site supervision for the Installation of underground
services for a chemical waste processing facility. Directional drilling was specified for the scheme to prevent disruption to the plant, and to avoid excavating contaminated ground. in all 1000m of duct was
installed for telecoms, gas, electric, water, and sewage.Sewer Installation
Site
supervision of a directional drilling contract in Avonmouth for a 700m long pumped sewer installation required to connect an industrial complex to the nearest mains supply. |
